Chris Spenner came to us from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, with his wife Tammy and their sons. Oh, yeah, the goldendoodles came along, too.
Having grown up in southern Illinois, Chris grew up “religious,” but not a Christian. In 2002, after hearing the Gospel clearly presented, Chris accepted Christ as his personal Savior. By the leading of the Holy Spirit, God began a work in Chris that led him to vocational ministry.
A biology major in college, he now has a strong interest in the theological area of Biblical Creation. Like a good discussion? Ask him how the Bible and science relate to one another. It is no surprise that his favorite Bible verse is 1 Corinthians 1:18, seeing that this world does indeed find the message of the cross foolishness.
Desiring some formal Bible training, Chris completed a theology program through a local Bible Institute, along with subsequently receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies, with a focus on pastoral ministry. He then completed his Masters in Ministry. Chris is also a certified Biblical Counselor through the Institute for Biblical Counsleing and Discipleship
Besides science and theology, Chris enjoys Biblical counseling, with an understanding that God has given us His all-sufficient Word, sufficient for both life and Godliness (2 Peter 1:3).
